The Acid Gun series, situated within the Special Weapons weapon type, is a series of personal weapons in Earth Defense Force 2025, Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair, And Earth Defense Force 5. Acid Gun series weapons are used exclusively by the Ranger class.

The Acid Gun is a weapon designed to shoot a steady stream of high-intensity acid designed to melt things.
The Acid Shower Prototype is practically a joke weapon; It's a can of bug killer with a scope on it.
The Acid Shower is a Acid Gun that fires bursts of corrosive acid to injure or kill insects. Best used on lower difficulties as the damage it does is mediocre at best.
The Wide Acid Gun is essentially a stronger Acid Shower, using a stronger solution that scatters horizontally.
The Super Acid Gun is the final Acid Weapon produced by the EDF. The liquid now appears a dark red-maroon color and does significantly higher damage and also has a much higher range than the original Acid Gun.
