Bomb Beetles resemble giant bombardier beetles. However, rather than just producing a high-temperature spray, these giant beetles ignite internally-generated gas through friction in their abdominal shell to use for propulsion or as a flamethrower-like attack. When they are killed, this gas can leak from their bodies and explode, potentially injuring nearby soldiers. Their gas is said to smell so foul that it is harmful to humans, and contaminates areas they pass through that makes it impossible to rebuild even if they are exterminated.
