Breaking Through (2) is the sixty-third offline mission Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair.
Objective[]
2025: A large number of Retiarius have surrounded the city with a web and are slowly making it their nest. We have sent an assault squad to rescue the civilians who could not evacuate. I want Storm Team to support the assault team.

There's much more large webs that cover the whole area. That makes it impossible for Wing Divers to fly high up in the air and snipe the tunnel exit.

Strategy[]
4.1[]
The best strategy for this mission is to not overcomplicate it. Just do what the game wants you to - break through the wall of webs and spiders. Take a strong short-range weapon and something that can hit the Retiarii that walk on the high building's webs. Ranger's Fusion Blaster is a great choice since the mission is very short.
Location of the underground tunnel exit
After starting the mission go with the team of rangers and fight the first 3 Retiarii. Once you reach the open area shoot down the spiders and Retiarii that are close to the ground. You shouldn't worry too much about getting caught in the web, the enemy tends to attack the civilians present in the open area. You should have plenty of time to eliminate most of the enemies there. When you're done, head forward and take a left turn into the buildings near the high tower. There you should find a tunnel exit that spawns spiders. Quickly destroy it and eliminate the remaining Retiarii.
