DE 202 is the Air Raider's source of Gunship strikes in Earth Defense Force 5. Despite being referred to as a fighter-bomber in dialog, the gunship is stupendously heavily armed; among its available armaments are a 190mm cannon, 180mm cannon, several 150mm cannons, multiple 120mm cannons, a rapid-fire 105mm cannon, Vulcan and Minigun autocannons and a rocket cannon. All of these strikes are called upon with a gun-fired beacon that DE 202's gunner can follow in the case of multi-round discharges and reload on a timer instead of the reload credit system, as the gunship is independent of the Air Raider and can prepare more rounds regardless of his actions. DE 202 and her unnamed crew loiter above the battlefield on every non-underground mission, unseen high in the sky and ready to rain impressively precise destruction upon the player's target of choice.
