Scylla is a new enemy type introduced in Earth Defense Force 6, that follows Siren/Glaukos. At first glance, it looks similar to an Erginus due to it's similar body structure, hunched posture and reptilian features, though, it has many traits of fish, such as it's scales and fins along with a head reminiscent of a Dunkleosteus.
The Scylla first appear in mission 79. World Gone Mad I of Earth Defense Force 6, serving as a challenging, mid game threat. On every appearance, the Scylla produce a mist-like liquid that they produce to keep their skin wet[1], essentially acting as fog. The Scylla attack similarly to Erginus, especially with it's leap attack. It also, rather comically attacks the player by flopping in a similar manner to a fish. The main threat is a pink-ish toxic gas they produce similarly to the Death Blossoms. This gas rapidly depletes the players health if they are in it's radius, making it best to attack them from a distance. It lastly fires projectile acid out of it's mouth to attack soldiers out of it's melee range.

- Coincidentally, another aquatic giant monster named after Scylla debuted in Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
