The Tactics Officer is a character associated with the Japanese EDF Strategic Command Headquarters in Earth Defense Force 2025 and Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair. She is voiced by Karen Straussman.
Description[]
Rather like Ops in Earth Defence Force: Insect Armageddon, the Tactics Officer is the competent and sensible member of the command staff, in contrast to Ohara and HQ neither of whom could make a dozen from two sixes. She is level-headed and professional, if a little bad at metaphors sometimes.
She appears to be some type of liaison with Central Command and some of her dialog implies she actually outranks HQ within the overall EDF command structure (in particular, she several times sets things in motion that he does not know about), but he is the local commander.
